The New York School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis offers a three year post-graduate training for professionals who provide therapy or counseling services. Our training is designed to enhance students’ ability to understand and assist clients of all walks of life.
The NYSPP program focuses on teaching psychoanalytic therapy which integrates traditional and contemporary psychoanalytic theory. The school’s psychodynamic training program provides a solid framework from which to understand and treat a wide range of client problems in a variety of settings.
Throughout the course of study, there is an ongoing evaluative process to determine satisfactory competence. A final written paper and a case presentation is required. A Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy is awarded at the completion of all requirements.
